WHAT: Congressman Todd Akin will hold a press conference on skyrocketing gas prices and the Democrat’s lack of action. He will discuss his $150 Barrel Energy Extortion Act also known as the Akin 150. In anticipation of the inevitability of $150 per barrel oil, the Akin 150 would open up ANWR and terminate the moratorium on oil drilling on the Outer Continental Shelf. The bill will also encourage the construction of new refineries and new nuclear power plants.
