Washington, DC – On President Obama’s 100th Day in office, Congressman Akin voted against a historic increase in government indebtedness as the House of Representatives passed a budget resolution that increases our level of indebtedness to levels greater than the Bush and Clinton administrations combined.
"It is sadly ironic that on President Obama’s 100th day in office, the Democrat led Congress has voted to expand government spending and increase levels of debt that are truly staggering.
"I am truly concerned that President Obama is creating a legacy of monumental debt and government intrusion that will plague generations to come."
